It’s been a tale of two teams for the Patriots thus far this season. One night they play poorly and the next they come out firing on all cylinders.
After a tough loss to Duquesne ended their home winning streak, Mason took the floor against a press-heavy Manhattan team and matched their intensity for all 40 minutes, toppling their inferior opponent by a final score of 81-61.
Ryan Pearson picked up an early technical foul, sending him to the bench with two fouls early in the first half, but responded to lead the Patriots with 25 points and 10 rebounds.
“That was a silly foul when I got the technical,” Pearson said. “I knew the game was going to be physical and I lost my composure a little bit. But I’ve got great teammates to help me through it.”

Pearson’s frontcourt counterpart Mike Morrison added a double-double of his own to the books, posting 16 points and pulling down 11 rebounds. He and freshman Erik Copes made their presence felt in the interior on defense, swatting four shots apiece on the night.
“We focused on defense, we focused on rebounding,” Paul Hewitt said. “When you’re not playing well, you’ve got to have the maturity to defend.”
Responding from a prolonged shooting slump, Vertrail Vaughns picked up steam in the second half and finished 5-for-10 from the floor with 13 points.
“He’s been shooting the ball a lot better,” Hewitt said. “Our trainer was telling me that his body was more stressed out than the rest of the guys and I found out that he was sneaking in and getting up a bunch of shots late at night. So we’ve limited his shots and I think he’s starting to find his stroke again.”
In a game that saw more than 40 combined turnovers and another 40 combined fouls, the Patriots allowed Manhattan to stay in the game with poor free throw shooting. Despite getting to the line 37 times, Mason barely topped the 50 percent mark, shooting 20-for-37 on the night.
“We’ve got to do a better job on the line,” Hewitt said. “We knew it was going to be one of those games with a lot of fouls, a lot of free throws.”
They’ll attempt to use their second half momentum, building off outscoring Manhattan 54-36 in the final 20 minutes, and take that same effort into South Carolina on Dec. 30 where they’ll take on the in their final game of 2011.
Yes, I am serious. The main idea is to get polpee buying and reading poetry books, especially those who don’t normally read much poetry. Lots of polpee write poetry, but not so many polpee read it or buy the books. I don’t expect NaPoReMo to catch on in the same way as NaPoWriMo, but I think it’s worth a shot. Not sure what you mean by getting out of hand’. Poems need readers and there aren’t enough of them. I appreciate the whole designated month thing is, in a sense, all wrong, but I thought I could use it for good. If you don’t like the idea, don’t take part.By the way, the Re stands for Reading’, not Reviewing’. What polpee write about the poem can be very simple.
I’ll have to look into this bill in greater deital. But my first impression is that it’s business as usual. It doesn’t recognize the reality that we have a foreign invader in our midst. Sure, they’re not likely to take up guns or ram planes into buildings. But a huge percentage of them are never going to assimilate into American society. We have just legitimated yet another underclass. And we may not see the consequences until it is too late.
Are there nightvision adnods for normal rifle scopes?I’m making a super mega awesome sniper rifle and im going to use a normal scope for aiming. However i want a night vision addon. I want something i can either put on in front of or behind my normal scope and make it night vision.Does anyone know of any night vision scopes/monoculars with picatinny/weaver rail mounts?I dont want one if they have reticles or cross hairs, since my normal scope will have crosshairs already.
